The 14k. & diamond winner's ring presented to the American cyclist Tyler Hamilton for his ''victory'' in the men's time trial at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, inscribed GOLD MEDALIST, ATHENS, CYCLING, GREECE, USA TEAM, 2004, HAMILTON Tyler Hamilton was later disqualified following a failed dope test. His gold medal was awarded to the original runner-up Viatcheslav Ekimov of Russia. A proportion of the proceeds of this lot will be donated to The San Francisco SPCA.
