An official presentation from the Brazilian football club Flamengo produced for the 1998 Amsterdam Tournament, in the form of a slice of Brazilian blue agate mounted with a club crest and presentation plaque, framed & glazed, 30 by 40cm., 11 3/4 ny 15 3/4in. The pre-season Amsterdam tournament was first held in 1975 to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the city of Amsterdam, and was held annually until 1992. After an interruption it was due to start again in 1998 on 4th & 5th August between Ajax, Flamengo, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid. In the event the tournament resumed a year later.
