Two tennis books, A Treatise on Tennis, by Samuel Smith-Travers - a facsimile of the 1875 edition from 1985. This copy, (One of only 388 copies printed) in fine condition, retains the photo of the author, diagrams and fold out plan of a tennis court. Original copies are almost impossible to find. Originally printed in Hobart Town, Australia. - The second, Ball, Bat and Bishop, (1947) by Robert W. Henderson, dedicated to George W. Stimpson (Washington) and signed by the author in 1950. Stimpson, a journalist and author worked for the Washington Herald. Complete with repaired, but rare dust jacket. Book in fine condition throughout. (2) not illustrated
