Two shirts relating to Republic of Ireland opponents in the 1984 Kirin Cup - a summer tournament held at Sapporo in Japan, a blue Japan Universiade XI No.16 international jersey, long-sleeved; and a red Sport Club Internacional No.14 jersey, short-sleeved The tournament comprised a mixture of national, representative and club teams. The Republic of Ireland drew both their Group B matches with Japan Universiade XI & the Brazilian club team Sport Club Internacional 0-0. Eire then defeated the People's Republic of China 1-0 in the semi-final to set up a final tie with their Brazilian Group opponents once more. On this occasion Sport Club Internacional won 2-1.
