A set of Mr Meiklam's racing colours worn by Sim Templeman, blue & white striped jacket, white cap (2) Mr Meiklam was an owner and trainer based at Middleham. Templeman's first job in racing was with Tommy Sykes in Malton before joining Meiklam with whom he rode his first winner at Catterick races in 1821 and soon became a frequent visitor to the winner's enclosure.
