Two Irish football medals won by Sam Johnston of Linfield FC, both in 15ct. gold and named to S. JOHNSTON, the first inscribed IRISH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, 1892; the second inscribed THE HARLAND CHALLENGE CUP, 1891 Samuel Johnston was born at Waringstown 19th March 1869 and was a prolific goalscorer for Linfield FC. He also won four Ireland international caps.
