Cup Final, by Umbro, long-sleeved, white button-up collar, embroidered crest; sold with a signed letter of authenticity from John Anderson written when the player sold the shirt to a private collector in 1994 (2) John Anderson (1921-2006), born in Salford, joined Manchester United in 1946. The midfielder helped United win the F.A. Cup in 1948 and scored one of the goals in the final during the 4-2 win over Blackpool, Anderson was transferred to Nottingham Forest in October 1949 before transferring to Peterborough where upon retiring from playing professional football he was recruited to Posh's backroom staff as trainer/coach.
