Walter Ord Carruthers (20th century) A STATION POLO TOURNAMENT - C.P. INDIA signed, titled and dated '45, mounted, framed & glazed, overall 29 by 40cm. In Horace A. Laffaye's Polo Encyclopedia there is a reference to a W.O. Carruthers being a player for the Mohammerah Polo Club in Abadan, Persia, in 1934. It is a strong possibility that he is our artist.
