That’s a wrap! We've reached the end of the auction and we’re busy tying up final bids behind the scenes. Thanks for being part of it — we’ll be in touch soon.
Barry Sheene 1981 Akai Yamaha race-worn leathers, by makers Dainese, bearing his name and lucky number 7, Akai logos on the chest, back and sleeves, plus Dainese, AGV, Shell, Champion and other associated sponsors logos, the back heavily scuffed after a fall in that year's British GP; sold with two framed sets of photographs showing the accident sequence and Barry receiving medical attention afterwards (3) Wearing these actual leathers, Barry was brought down when Graeme Crosby lost the back of his Suzuki at Stowe on lap 3 of the 1981 500cc British Grand Prix at Silverstone. He was not seriously hurt, a cigarette soon helping to cure him, and he went on to win his final GP in Sweden two races later. Previously sold by Graham Budd Auctions in May 2010.
