A racing plate worn by ''Doricles'' when winning the 1901 St Leger beating The Derby winner ''Volodyovski'', set on a painted & inscribed tinplate base Doricles was owned by Leopold de Rothschild and trained by Alfred Hayhoe at the Palace House Stables, Newmarket, now the location of the National Heritage Centre for Horseracing and Sporting Art. He was ridden to victory at Doncaster by Kempton Cannon.
