Stanley Matthews's football boots worn in his Farewell Match at the Victoria Ground, Stoke-on-Trent, 28th April 1965, a pair of black leather football boots, lacking laces, lacking the two heel studs to the right foot; sold together with a signed Sir Stanley Matthews business card in original envelope from Malta sent to the present vendor and stating ''Yes my old soccer boots''; also the match programme for the Farewell Match Sir Stanley Matthews XI v World Stars XI (4) Provenance: Stanley's boots were acquired by the Stoke City and Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Jimmy O'Neill after the match. Jimmy played in the Post-War Favourites warm-up match to the main event, Harry Johnston's XI v Wally Barnes's XI.
