17th century tennis poem, featuring an etching after Adriaen van de Venne (1589-1662) depicting lovers playing battledore and shuttlecock in a garden and titled AMOR, UT PILA, VICES EXIGIT [LOVE, LIKE A BALL, DEMANDS RECIPROCATION] etching, above various verse, published in The Hague: 1632, a translation to English is found to the reverse of the mounting, overall 52 by 38cm., foxing but reasonably good
