A finely modelled and impressive bronze gentleman lawn tennis player figure by Gottlob Deihle (1856 Stuttgart - 1933 Dusseldorf), on the reverse of the base is a foundry mark which reveals that the piece was made at the Orivit metalware company between 1902 and 1914 in C?ln., 32cm., good condition Gottlob Deihle worked from 1890 in Dusseldorf and was a member of the Association for the Promotion of Sculpture in Rhineland and Westphalia. His main focus was monuments, tombstones and sculptures.
