The Stockholm 1912 Olympic Games participation medal presented to the French gold medal winning tennis player Andre Gobert, in white metal, the obverse designed by Erik Lindberg with Zeus seated on an Ionian column holding the figure of Nike, a view of Stockholm beyond, the reverse with Bertram Mackennal's 1908 Games design of a victorious athlete riding in a quadriga, by Vaughton of Birmingham, good condition; sold with two items of correspondence sent by Gobert to Percy Rootham, Vice President of the Lawn Tennis Association, in 1913 & 1914; and a letter to Rootham from the Union Des Societes Francaises De Sports Athletiques naming the team for a Paris v London tennis match in 1913 (4)
