LAMBERT, 1927-38, in original fitted case, the lid stamped gilt LONDON FOOTBALL COMBINATION Forward Jack Lambert was purchased by Herbert Chapman from Doncaster Rovers for ?2,000 in June 1926 but took a couple of seasons to become a first-team regular, hence the award of this reserves team medal. Eventually Lambert made 143 Football League appearances and scored 98 goals.
