Joe Mercer's Arsenal FC 1950 F.A. Cup winner's medal, 9ct. gold, the reverse inscribed THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, CHALLENGE CUP, WINNERS, lacking original loop suspension on account of five of Joe Mercer's medals having previously been converted by a jeweller into a linked bracelet Arsenal defeated Liverpool 2-0 in the 1950 F.A. Cup Final with both goals scored by Reg Lewis. Arsenal's win equalled Bolton Wanderers three wins at Wembley Stadium, while Liverpool were experiencing their first Cup Final.
