Cup Final runners-up medal, 9ct. gold, the obverse inscribed THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, the reverse inscribed THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION CHALLENGE CUP, RUNNERS-UP, lacking original loop suspension on account of five of Joe Mercer's medals having previously been converted by a jeweller into a linked bracelet Arsenal were beaten in the 1952 F.A.
