Gold & sapphire brooch gifted by the jockey Kempton Cannon to his sister Margaret and brother-in-law Ernest Piggott in dual celebration of Kempton's 1904 Derby win on St Amant and the birth of his nephew Keith Piggott (father of Lester Piggott), set with a photograph of the infant Keith Piggott, inscribed to the reverse ST AMANT'S DERBY, FROM K.C., 1904 Kempton Cannon won the Derby on 1st June 1904 aboard Leopold de Rothschild's St Amant. His nephew Keith Piggott was 51 days old on Derby Day.
