Start a valuationPrinted racecard for Yarmouth Races 19th August 1823, with woodcut engraving, four race card featuring the Gold Cup Stakes, supporting races comprising the Ladies' Plate of ?50, a ?50 match race between horses of Captains Travers & Manby and a poney [sic] race, the card also advertising other entertainments in the town, mounted under glass in a modern wooden frame, 36 by 28cm.; the lot also including a small collection of horse racing press photographs (a qty.) The Gold Cup at Yarmouth was valued at 100 guineas, was won by Lord Verulam's 3-y-o bay colt ''Vaurian''. The Ladies' Plate was won by Major Wilson's bay horse ''Lawrence''. The Racing Calendar did not record the winners of the other races.
