1927 Boulogne Grand Prix engraved souvenir and Brooklands presentation to Arthur Armstrong, a fine brass medallion with an F. Fraisse signed relief of a racing driver at the wheel alonside his riding mechanic, the obverse engraved to MS A.C. ARMSTRONG, SOUVENIR DE LA COMMISSION SPORTIVE DE L' A.C.N.F. BOULOGNE SMER 1927, 3cm diameter; also a desk memento comprising a small silvered plaque engraved BROOKLANDS 1927, 6 HOURS ENDURANCE RACE, OFFICIAL, A. C. ARMSTRONG, mounted beneath an Essex Motor Club emblem on a varnished wooden stand, 10 by 6 by 4cm deep, plus a photcopy of a December 1946 appreciation of The Motor magazine's long serving, retiring editor and his previous history within motor journalism (3) The 1927 279-mile Boulogne Grand Prix was won by Malcolm Cambell with George Eyston third, both driving Bugattis, while the Brooklands 6-hour event was won by motor racing correspondent and author, Sammy Davis, driving an Alvis. He would later devote chapter eight of his 1932 book 'Motor Racing' to the event.
