A set of Manchester United 1998-99 Treble Winning season hallmarked sterling silver scale replicas of the Premier League, F.A. Cup and UEFA Champions League trophies, from a limited edition of 28 privately commissioned for Manchester United players and officials from A. Dawe Silversmiths in 1999, a 29th replica set was produced in 2003 for Sir Alex Ferguson and sold at charity auction, each trophy a 10in. exact replica of the treble trophies mounted onto a 64cm. long wooden base and engraved with a commemorative plate, in a custom made red carrying case; sold with documents of provenance from the manufacturers explaining that this particular trophy set was refused by a Manchester United player as he did not play in the Champions League Final in Barcelona v Bayern Munich, the set was subsequently sold privately (2)
