Two watercolours by John Arthur Board (Major) (British, 1895-1965) the first portraying two polo players & ponies in match action, the second a single player & pony, unsigned, pen & ink & watercolour, 19 by 24cm., both mounted ready for framing, the second named slightly larger 19 by 24cm., very good condition John Arthur Board was an illustrator, author, sportsman and sports correspondent for The Times for 30 years covering polo, hunting, horse shows, real tennis, rackets and occasionally golf as understudy to Bernard Darwin.
