Parke, was Australian Champion in 1912 and a Davis Cup Winner in 1912. He also played rugby for Ireland , playing against the All Blacks and the Springboks. He was a captain in the Leinster regiments in Gallipoli and returned to play tennis at Wimbledon after the War.
