St Moritz 1928 Winter Olympic Games participant's medal awarded to Andre Poplimont, Chef d'Equipe of the Belgian Olympic Team, bronze, by M. Martin for Huguenin Fr?s, Nike standing on platform driven by two horses, mountains in background, rev. legend in six lines, 37mm., in original paper box Andre Georges Poplimont (1893-1973) was a Belgian ice hockey player and fencer. As a hockey player he won a bronze medal at the 1924 European Championships whilst Begium finished ranked 7th at the 1924 Chamonix Winter Olympic Games. As a fencer he narrowly missed out on a medal in the team epee event at the Los Angeles 1932 Olympics with Belgium finishing 4th.
