Northern Ireland British Home Championship Cap awarded to Tottenham Hotspur's Danny Blanchflower, season 1962-63, navy cap with gilt tassel and banding, embroidered IRISH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION LIMITED E. S. 1962-63, good condition, little wear, tassel stuck in part to the navy cap from previous showcase display Northern Ireland were beaten 3-1 by England and 5-1 by Scotland in the 1963 British Home Championship. Blanchflower captained the team in both fixtures. Robert Dennis 'Danny' Blanchflower (1926-1993) played for Northern Ireland 56 times between 1949 and 1963, scoring two goals, and was Tottenham Hotspur’s captain during their 1960-61 Double- winning season.
