William Pickford’s silver miniature replica of the F.A. Cup Trophy, of typical form with twin handles, embossed decoration with a figural finial lid, upon an ebonised socle base, hallmarked Birmingham 1907 by Davis Moss & Co, bears partial paper label to underside of base, handwritten dated 1908, 11.5 by 6cm., total weight 46gr., minor wear throughout, lid soldered to cup, wear to socle base William Pickford (1861-1938) played an important role in the early development of the Football Association, for which he became president in 1937.
