Rare and exceptionally early football programme issued for the Birmingham FA Probables v Improbables trial match at Witton Road, Aston, Birmingham, Monday 29th October 1877, single printed page programme, with team line-ups, bears stains, tears to paper edge This trial match was organised by the Birmingham Football Association prior to the final selection of players to represent the Birmingham FA in a forthcoming match v the London Football Association on 1st December 1877. The line-ups include two players from Aston Villa, E.B. Lee and S. Law. This is one of the earliest programmes ever to be offered at auction.
