Racing plate worn by trainer Aidan O'Brien's first ever Group 1 winning racehorse Desert King, of typical form in lightweight aluminium, accompanied by a signed letter of authenticity from Coolmore Stud dated 1st March 2000 Desert King gave Aidan O'Brien his first ever Group 1 success in the National Stakes at the Curragh on 26th September 1996, ridden by Walter Swinburn. Also winning the Irish 2000 Guineas and Irish Derby. Desert King was a bay colt by Danehill out of Sabaah by Nureyev. He sadly passed away in August 2001 aged 27.
