Enquire nowSouthern Football League plaque awarded to Gravesend & Northfleet's Jimmy Logie for the championship match v Cheltenham Town, played at Gravesend, 27th August 1958, white metal plaque with enamelled SOUTHERN FOOTBALL LEAGUE badge and engraved CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH 27TH MARCH, applied to a black bakelite plaque, 14 by 14cm., missing easel back This match was between the Southern League cup winner's Cheltenham and Southern League champions Gravesend & Northfleet, Cheltenham won 2-1. Gravesend & Northfleet were the Southern League champions in the 1957-58 season, this was the only time they won the league. In the following 1958-59 season the Southern League was split into two regions, North Western and South Western. Jimmy Logie played with Arsenal during 1935-55 and Gravesend & Northfleet during 1955-60.
