Arsenal FC's Herbert Chapman black bowler hat,  the black bowler hat with fabric band, the interior bearing CUSHION FITTING stamp and bearing H CHAPMAN ESQ inscribed, sold together with St Enoch Hotel Glasgow letterhead dated 1st March 1933 stating "Of I.F.A. Yours truly Arsenal Supporter To Hold including Mr Chapman hat room 114 chambers x 1 Mr M Druy" in black ink (2) Provenance: This hat was purchased by the vendor in 1985 from John Smerton, whose mother worked in the St Enoch Hotel, Glasgow, where Chapman had left his hat behind in 1933.
