A group of memorabilia relating to the Preston North End and England goalkeeper Harry Holdcroft, comprising: eight Preston North End player's tickets for seasons 1932-33 to 1939-40 inclusive; a pair of Preston North End F.A. Cup final dinner and dance menus for 1936-37 and 1937-38, both menus are in excellent condition; an Inter-league programme England V Scotland played at Goodison Park, 21st October 1936, condition good with some creasing to front cover;1888-1938 Football League Golden Jubilee programme and Banquet invitations, the match programme for Preston North End v Blackpool 20th August 1938; sold together with a Golden Jubilee Banquet invitation, Dorchester Hotel, London, 30th May 1938 and an invitation to Preston North End from The Romanian Football Association to a Banquet held on 25th May 1938 (14) George Henry Holdcroft (known as Harry) 1909 – 1983 played for Port Vale and Darlington before moving to Everton and was part of their championship winning squad of 1931-1932 but he is perhaps best known for his time at Preston North End making 172 consecutive appearances (263 in total) helping the Lambs to promotion in 1933-34. He also kept a clean sheet in their 1938 FA Cup final victory over Huddersfield town. Holdcroft was selected to play for England twice in the 1936 Home Internationals against Wales and Ireland.
