A rare full set of eight "The Football League, The Competitions of Seasons 1931-32 to 1938-39" compiled by W M Johnston, 1931-32 being a signed presentation copy from the compiler to J J Edwards,1932-33 from a limited edition of 25 presentation copies named to F Pitchers, 1933-34 from 35 presentation copies, 1934-35 to 1936-37 from 40 presentation copies, the 36-37 being Johnston's personal copy stamped W.M.J. in gilt to front cloth, 1937-38 and 1938-39 from 50 presentation copies. all in red leather boards, condition of bindings varying from good to fair, 1931-32 the poorest with staining to covers, also some with spine colour fading, internally the set is good W M Johnston was the editor of the Arsenal match programme and later became a club director.
