Ex-Pelé Collection: a commendation medal awarded to Pelé by his birth state of Minas Gerais, cross & rope design, silvered with red, white and blue enamel, featuring the Minas Gerais state motto "Libertas que Sera Tamen" [Freedom, albeit  late] and triangle symbol said to represent the Christian Holy Trinity and the three ideals of the French Revolution, Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité, damage to one of the red enamel cross points, otherwise good Pelé was born in Três Corações, in the state of Minas Gerais, south-eastern Brazil, 23rd October 1940.
