Football Association illuminated citation awarded to Arsenal's Jack Crayston for his wartime international appearance for England v Wales, 11th November 1939, bearing facsimile signatures for FA Officials, dated April 1946, mounted, unframed, 39 by 33cm., and sold together with a Topical Times colour portrait panel card featuring Crayston, (2) The usual award for international appearances was a cap, however this was expensive and suspended for the duration of the WWII. The FA retrospectively awarded a citation to every player who was selected for wartime internationals.
