Football in 1898 the first attempt to form a Players Union took place small membership card no.42 for National Union of Association Football Players issued to W Oswald Bury with note care of Jas Oswald Glasgow Rangers. The movement was started by Everton players and secretary was John Cameron, signed card, Cameron moved to Tottenham winning FA c/finals. Others who were members were Derby, Aston Villa, Man. City, it folded in 1901 and in 1907 the current players union was formed. Rare item of football history
