Edinburgh & Glasgow inter-city league winners medal awarded to J.H. Cross of Third Lanark FC in season 1900-01, 9ct gold, fully inscribed with competition details, weight 9gms. John Halliday Cross was born at Cambusnethan 12th February 1881. The right-half had two spells with Third Lanark and in between played for Queen's Park Rangers in the same team as his brother Willie. At Third Lanark John Cross won a Scottish League Championship title in 1903-04 and played in the 1906 Scottish Cup Final. He was capped once for Scotland and also represented the SFL in an Inter-League match.
