Before joining Bradford Park Avenue in February 1911 from Manchester City, Tom and his brother Willie were founder members of Celtic FC. The two brothers managed the English and Scottish Cup winners of the same year, 1904, a unique record. Tom with Manchester City and Willie with Celtic.
