An honorary citizen certificate presented to Pelé in 1987 by the city of Atlanta, Georgia. Pelé was in Atlanta on October 19 to present Ford Foundation/Pelé tuition awards to 10 high school seniors. An inset white panel has lettering that reads "City of Atlanta/ On behalf of the people of Atlanta,/ it is my honour to declare that/ Pele/ is an Honorary Citizen of our City." The certificate is dated October 19, 1987, and signed in black marker by then Mayor of Atlanta Andrew Young. 4 by 11 inches, overall.
