A pair of gold tone metal scissors presented to Pelé by Atari Manufacturing. Pelé used these scissors in the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the grand opening of Atari's manufacturing facility in Taiwan in 1982. The scissors are housed in a red velvet case that features "Atari Taiwan Manufacturing GRAND OPENING, April 21, 1982" stamped in gold on the outside and the inside cover. The scissors are accompanied by a pair of vintage video game cartridges owned by Pelé including the 1988 Atari game "Pelé's Soccer," and the 1993 SEGA Genesis game "Pelé" made by Accolade Inc. Case, 12 by 5 1/4 by 1 3/4 inches PROVENANCE: The Pele Collection, Julien's Auctions, June 2016, Lot No.669
