Manchester United Player's Contract for Bobby Harrop for season 1956-57, drawn up on behalf of MUFC by the Club Secretary Walter Crickmer, an agreement for the player to be paid £1 per week, signed by the player only; sold with a second copy of the same agreement, but unsigned (2) Harrop had joined Manchester United as a Youth Player in 1953 but was not to make a first-team debut until the team had been depleted in the terrible aftermath of the Munich Air Disaster in 1957-58. In 1956-57 Harrop was on a basic £1 per week contract, as he was on National Service. But there was a provision in the contract that if available for selection he would receive an additional match fee for any club appearances.
