A trio of rare Scottish Victorian pottery each commemorating the Scotland and England football heroes Dan Doyle and W J Bassett, 1890s, by Clyde Pottery Company, Glasgow, all with similar decoration, the first the mug printed in blue glazes with THE NAMED portraits of the two players inscribed INTERNATIONAL HEROES, and to the reverse with a depiction of a football match, various chips; the second mug very similarly designed but in various colours, minor chips; the cream jug with similar portraits in painted coloured glazes with gilt detailing, but with no match depiction, chips to base, all 10cm. height, (3) Scottish international Dan Doyle played for Celtic and England international Bill Bassett played for West Bromwich Albion.
