She was extremely reclusive and rarely signed autographs, the previous owner was at the Saucony sales meeting when she made a brief appearance, everyone was limited to one signed photograph. So far ahead of the women's records for 100 and 200 metres, her times in 1988 are still World Records, 100 metres 10.49, 200 metres 21.34, she died prematurely in 1998 aged 38. It is always a question to answer were the records tainted autopsy she passed drugs test at time.
