The winning jockey’s trophy presented to Pat Eddery for the victory on Prophecy in the 1993 Dick Poole Stakes at Salisbury, In the form of a silver-plated mug inscribed with race details, ding to base; sold with another item of Salisbury racecourse interest, a two-colour gilt-metal goblet presented to jockey Pat Eddery on the occasion of the Plate Glass International at Salisbury in 1975, inscribed with details to bowl, height 17cm. (two items) Prophecy was a K Abdullah/Juddmonte Irish home-bred Filly (1991) by Warning out of Andaleeb (Lyphard). Off the back of this performance, the John Gosden-trained filly went on to win the G1 Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket (see lot 218).
