A group of five original photographs featuring Nimbus's victory in the 1949 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket, three mounted, images portraying the close finish in beating Abernant and Sir Gordon Richards, and returning to the Rowley Mile winner's enclosure Lots 272 to 294 From the Collection of the Newmarket trainer George Scott Colling (1904-1959); and the Collection of Mrs Marion Glenister, owner of Nimbus, the 1949 Derby & 2,000 Guineas winner, being material subsequently acquired at Graham Budd Auctions. George Colling was the son of R W Colling and brother to Jack, a famous racing dynasty in the history of the turf.
