Sigismund Goetze, (British, 1866-1939) The Ever Open Door, print laid on paper, published by Henry Mullen in Harrogate 2nd December 1907, featuring a cricketer carrying a bat in this engraced version, the batsman in not in the original painting, signed in pencil on lower right margin, bears hole on central lower margin and foxing, 100 x 80cm. European Union’s Artist’s Resale Right Directive (adopted by the United Kingdom): An Artist's Resale Right would be applicable on this lot should the hammer price exceed the currency equivalent of 1,000 Euros (excluding buyer's premium & VAT). Under these circumstances a 4% resale royalty will be added to the buyer's invoice.
