In the match against Austria, played on 20th September 1978, Austria defeated Scotland 3-2; in the match against Norway, played on 25th October 1978, Scotland defeated Norway 3-2; in the match against Wales, played on 19th May 1979, Wales defeated Scotland 3-0; in the match against Northern Ireland, played on 22nd May 1979, Scotland defeated Northern Ireland 1-0, Graham scoring his first International and match-winning goal; in the match against England, played 26th May 1979, England defeated Scotland 3-1; in the friendly match against Argentina, played on 2nd June 1979, Argentina defeated Scotland 3-1, Graham scoring Scotland's goal; and in the match against Norway, played on 7th June 1979, Scotland defeated Norway 4-0
