Joao Alves red No.8 Portugal long-sleeved 1981 shirt from the World Cup Qualifier v. Northern Ireland at Windsor Park, Belfast on April 29th, layer issue, Adidas size M, v-neck and embroidered badge.
The shirt is believed to have been obtained as a swap by David McCreery, with Joao Alves, nicknamed “Luvas Pretas” from the black gloves he wore in the style of his footballing grandfather, Carlos Alves number, at the end of the game, which Northern Ireland won by 1 goal to nil.
