The above cap represents Viv's twelfth, thirteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth International appearances, in the World Cup qualifying match against Turkey played on 14th November 1984 in Istanbul, England defeated Turkey 8-0, Anderson scoring his first-ever International goal, in the match Northern Ireland played on 25th February 1985 at Windsor Park, England defeated Northern Ireland 1-0, in the match against Romania played on 1st May in Bucharest, the match ended in a 0-0 draw and in the match against Finland played on 22nd May in Helsinki, the teams drew the match 1-1
