The trophy for the 1979 Waterford Crystal Mile at Goodwood won by the racehorse Kris,
in the form of a Waterford Crystal bowl, with a panel etched with a thoroughbred's head and horse shoe, inscribed WATERFORD CRYSTAL MILE, 1979, height 21cm., width of bowl 25.5cm., perfect, original condition.
Lord Howard de Walden's Kris was an exceptional miler who won 14 of his 16 career races.
