A rare print featuring the famous jockey Fred Archer, after Alfred Rogers and published by C Goodall & Son, London, as part of their “Society” Bijou Portraits Series, No.21 Fred Archer, the print portrays Archer as a caged bird, a reference to the “Birdcage” the old name that was used for the pre-race parade ring at Newmarket Racecourse, mounted, framed & glazed, 49 by 34cm., good condition.
